Binns ist unter anderem Autor des Managementbuches "Corporate Explorer", das sich mit der Fähigkeit großer Traditionsunternehmen auseinandersetzt, Neuland zu beschreiten und neue Geschäftsmodelle hervorzubringen.
In seinem Forbes-Artikel unterstreicht Andy Binns die Notwendigkeit, dass auch das Governance System Innovation unterstützt:
"The German governance system reinforces stability and therefore increases the risk of a rapid disruption. There is lots of talk about innovation and risk-taking in German corporations, but only within safe zones that do not challenge the status quo on the management board. There is a fear of doing anything that disturbs today’s business."
