About the Plattform Industrie 4.0 working group on "Digital Business Models in Industry 4.0":
Data, platforms, innovative technologies and new customer expectations are changing models of value creation for manufacturing companies. New digital business models emerge and existing ones change. Understanding mechanisms, showing opportunities and making recommendations—that is the mission of the working group on "Digital Business Models in Industrie 4.0". First, the working group analyzes the basic mechanisms of digital business models. On this basis, it determines opportunities and challenges. Finally, the working group on Politics and Business shows ways in which the potential of digital business models can be exploited.
